Here you can find live classes and pre-recorded classes to learn at your own pace. Muses School of Dance will teach you about the Greek / Greek-Anatolian style of menhat dance, giving you a sensual embodiment and performance practice for life.

What’s Included
Each month, students can join live classes with Myrto. There will be 4 Live classes a month, offered at different times and days to accommodate people’s schedules and time zones.
Live Classes
Students can access short 10-20 minute videos to sneak in practice even on the busiest of days! Drills, combinations, stretches and conditioning.
Pre-Recorded Videos
Each month, Myrto will highlight an important history lesson to integrate into the students’ understanding of Tsiftiteli dance and music.
History of Dance
Supporting women, femmes, and NB people’s bodily autonomy, freedom, and expression is a core value for our classes. I strive to create a safe, supportive learning environment for my students.

About our founder Myrto Daskaloudi
Myrto is a first-generation Greek-American dance artist and teacher. She has spent the last 16 years studying belly dance and other social Mediterranean dances. She is passionate about bringing Greek Tsiftiteli to the dance world. Tsiftiteli is a social dance that has been adapted for the stage over the years. She has studied and collaborated with Athena Najat, Despina Cartsos, and Sophianna Apergis. Myrto is also the producer of Cafe Aman Project, you can catch one of their monthly shows in Brooklyn and beyond this summer!

Muses School of Dance is a hub for all things Tsiftiteli! Here you can study the beautiful art and history of Greek belly dance. You can learn at your own pace, attend live classes, conditioning, history and musicology classes as well. The school is open to any level dancer.
How Your Membership Works

Sign up for our monthly subscription, and you can stay as long as you like!

After you have joined the Dance School, please watch the welcome video and get acquainted with the membership portal! You can start training with pre-recorded classes right away.

Our live classes are offered weekly or bi-monthly, depending on the tier/level you joined. Be sure to register to let me know you are coming! Live classes will also be recorded.
